Imagine a world without violence…
In order to prevent harm, we must understand the psychological causes
of the behaviour and be able to identify them
ABOUT US
Welcome to the Sex and Violence Evaluation (SAVE) Lab. We are a specialized clinical-research lab dedicated to exploring the intersection of sex and violence. Our population of interest focuses primarily on males with problematic sexual interests and/or harmful sexual behaviours that may result in legal consequences. Our goal is to enhance public safety by improving methods of identifying and assessing these issues, while developing evidence-based approaches to treatment and reducing the risk of reoffending.
OUR RESEARCH
The SAVE Lab’s research program is organized around three core branches that advance our understanding, assessment, and prevention of violence and harmful sexual behaviour.
Branch 1: Understanding Psychological Constructs

Branch 2: Measurement and Interpretation

Branch 3: Prevention and Rehabilitation
